I am a Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF in the Department of Sustainable Communication Technologies, group Trustworthy Green IoT Software. I received my PhD in computer science from the University of Oslo in 2016 with the dissertation thesis “CORAL: A Model-Based Approach to Risk-Driven Security Testing“. My research focuses on trustworthy and secure cyber-physical and IoT systems, with particular emphasis on cyber-risk assessment and threat modelling, security-by-design for critical infrastructures and connected domains (e.g., smart grids and medical devices), and the use of AI/LLMs (including RAG and multi-agent workflows) to support security analysis, compliance alignment, and human-centred oversight. I also work on privacy and resilience considerations, and on making security risk management and training more accessible for practitioners through usable tools and methods, drawing on extensive experience from national and international research projects as well as industrial experience as a software developer and security tester.
